We are enthusiastic touring cyclists who live in mid Wales and have recently started to run a small family run bed and breakfast at our house situated just south of the Snowdonia National Park.
Full details of our B&B are on our web site www.theoldschoolhousewales.co.uk. We would appreciate it if you could circulate our details to your members should they be thinking of visiting Wales.

Hello, Nuneaton CC,
My name is John Gabriel, I am a member of Hinckley CRC who happens to live in the Whitestone area of Nuneaton.
I have recently secured a Sport England Grant for Hinckley CRC to deliver Go-Ride coaching sessions in the area, the aim of the project being to bring more children into cycling and maybe into Hinckley CRC or other local clubs.
We are currently involved in a coach education programme for 6 of our members to attend British Cycling L2 courses to enable us to deliver the sessions as currently I am the only qualified coach in the club.
With the assistance and support of British Cycling & Hinckley & Bosworth DC we will be delivering fortnightly sessions in Hinckley in the new year and it is my aim to follow this by setting up some similar sessions in Nuneaton, specifically in the Whitestone area if I can secure a suitable venue (I'm working on it!).
I would be very interested in hearing from any of your members who may like to get involved in this project either as a volunteer or maybe as a coach. If the Nuneaton initiative comes off the end result may be a totally new junior club in the area feeding in to the established senior clubs. To do this I would look to submit another grant submission to Sport England for coach education, facility hire etc, etc.
If you are interested in being part of this let me know.
Regards
John Gabriel - for Hinckley CRC

Play your part in the cycling revolution – help to recruit British Cycling Ride Leaders
This summer British Cycling is teaming up with Sky to develop a new and exciting cycling programme. The aim is to get more people out on their bikes, enjoying the outdoors and experiencing the fun they can have on two wheels. To help us with this we are looking for British Cycling members and cycling enthusiasts to join us in becoming Ride Leaders.
Between July 1st and October 31st we’ll be rolling out routes across London, Leicester, Manchester, Glasgow, Preston and the surrounding areas around which we will lead cyclists of varying experience. Our Ride Leaders will be there to give riders tips about cycling, help them gain confidence and generally show them how enjoyable cycling can be.
Ride Leaders could be qualified Coaches, Bikeability Instructors or members of clubs with experience of leading within the club environment. Some of the rides will also be on the public highway, so Ride Leaders should regularly ride on the road and be confident riding with traffic. Approximately 300 people are being sought to lead these rides and play a crucial part in promoting cycling as an entertaining recreational activity. Each Ride Leader will receive a day’s free training where they can be given tips and pointers to be a better Ride Leader (and to make sure their cycling skills are in tip top condition), a branded jersey and payment for each ride that they lead. If a Ride Leader is not already a British Cycling member, we will also give them a year’s free Everyday Cycling membership!
If you, or anyone you know, are interested just click on the link below or phone 0161 274 2063 for further details and to find out how to register to become a qualified Ride Leader as part of this exciting new initiative.
